Despite talking about how busy we are with soccer from the previous post. Let me share some pictures to show how rewarding it truly is to be a part of. Soccer truly allows for relationship and fellowship.
Blake just started soccer. He is not as focused as his sister on the ball that is. But he is the social chair - many of the boys are shy and a bit scared, but Blake talks to everyone and gets everyone going. The Coach says he really appreciates the spirit Blake brings to the team. That is something that cannot be taught. I am so proud of my boy.
We also went to an FC Dallas game as a team (with Kimberlyn's team, but Blake got to represent the Rockets). That day was crazy! Thankfully Jake's mom and step dad came to visit or we would not have been in real trouble getting to and from everywhere. We had 2 games and 2 opposite times of day. 2 Soccer team pictures to take at 2 opposite times of day and an FC Dallas game to attend! AAAGGG! and I coordinated it, so I had to pick up all of the tickets and wait for everyone at the game to give them their tickets - meaning I had to go early. It was a ton of work, and I was so tired, but we had a great time and the game was awesome! They got a much needed win - did not make play offs, but they won. Blake and Kimberlyn loved the game. Kimberlyn said, "That was awesome!!!" Love that girl!
Blake got to sit in a fire truck after a soccer game. What a lucky boy. He actually kind of quit playing soccer as soon as he saw the fire truck. We know where this boys passion lies. We are going to make a trip to visit Captain Mike Buehler very soon.
Look at Kimberlyn's team below. How sweet is that?! Thanks to Sophia's mom for taking the pictures. Precious memories.
