Hoppy Easter

Hippity Hoppity Easter is on the way!

 Blake's 2A Class
Kimberlyn's PREK Class (are they excited?)
Easter time at school is so much fun.  We go to school at our church, so the real Easter story is told.  Kimberlyn and Ellie had a really fun activity and snack project demonstrating the resurrection of Christ.  The snack is called Resurrecton Rolls.  You need a cresent roll (the tomb), a marshmallow (Jesus), butter (to anoint Jesus with oil), and cinnamon and sugar (the spices covering Jesus) - cook the cresent roll and the marshmallow seeps out of the roll - demonstrating Jesus left the tomb.  It was so yummy, and a memorable resurrection story for the kids.  This Easter was so inspiring from a child's perspective b/c Kimberlyn and Ellie really seemed to get what Easter really is about (maybe not the full extent of the sacrifice, but they know Easter is about Jesus rising from the dead).  Blake is copying everything they say - it is cute to hear Blake saying, "Jesus came back to life." as he is listening to the girls as well as his story in class.
