Happy Thanksgiving 2014

Catching up again as usual.  This Thanksgiving has been so special.  First of all, we decided to stay home.  We haven't had a long period of time at home in a long time.  We are usually rushing from one activity to the next.  We are the over scheduling parents I said we would never become.  But with that said, all of our soccer is pretty much together as a family so at least there is that!

I will say that the soccer world has really opened a lot of opportunities for us.  We love being a part of Mutiny FC.  It is truly a soccer club dedicated to developing the kid.  It is not a numbers or money game.  It is truly a soccer club working to serve the Lord.  The coolest opportunity so far has been getting to spend Thanksgiving with the Hason (Paul, Timmons and their son Christian) family and the 2014 World Cup Haiti Amputee team.  Their story can be found www.pursuitofhope.com.  Many were hurt in the massive earthquake Haiti experienced in 2010.  But these guys are continuing to live life to the fullest despite their circumstances.  And are working towards bring the World Cup back to Haiti.  This is truly a Kingdom story, and I feel so blessed and humbled to be a part of it.  Most do not speak any English - French is their language.  But with a translator and just a mutual admiration for one another - it just did not matter.  The kids really loved getting to serve them their drinks and food.

Timmons's Step Mom  she was precious

They are here!

This is the coach of the team

This was the person in charge of filming the journey - he could translate for us as well.

Jake said Fred put his hand on him and said, "You really are a man of many talents."  :)

Coach Paul - the assistant coach of the World Cup Team!

High Five for Coach

I could always get a smile!  They are awesome.

Tomorrow was Timmons birthday - which is also the day they leave for Mexico.  Paul had the team surprise her with a cake.

Listening to them sing to her in their language and our language was a bit emotional

This player gave Timmons a gift.  A Palm Tree he made from a tin drum

An official FIFA Neymar jersey (Kit) that Paul's neighbor gave him to give to one of the players through a drawing.  His neighbor has had the jersey awhile and was waiting to do something special with it.  This is the something special.

They played with the kids

Kimbo with their goalie

Checking out the horse together.  It is beautiful out here!

I loved they wanted pictures of our kids as well.

Beautiful.  Life as it should be for just a moment.

Kimberlyn's Birthday Party

We had Kimberlyn's birthday party a little early this year.  December tends to be a little busy, and with getting so sick so much last year I decided to break it up.  So here we are at JumpStreet.  It was a great party.  Totally recommend for older kids, 8 and older.  You had to be 8 to jump in the bigger area (for good reason) so Blake had alternate plans with his Gigi.

The riding bull was a very popular spot for some.  Several were not so sure.

Natalia loved it!

Natalia, Corey, Brinlyn, and Loralei

School Friends Addison and Audrey. They are as sweet as sugar.

Gracie is a fearless kid

Berkley is too.  Apparently, she asked for a 3 as the speed and just flew in the air.  Ha Ha!

Our lone boy - he was a trooper!

At the bull again!
